The Doors’ third studio album, Waiting For The Sun, was released in July 1968 and was the band’s first to top the charts.
To mark its 50th anniversary, the album has been remastered by leading engineer and producer, Bruce Botnick, and is available on MQA-CD as part of a two-CD/one-LP special edition, as well as on TIDAL Masters, Onkyo Music and e-onkyo from 14 September 2018.
Comments longtime Doors engineer, Bruce Botnick, “It’s long been a dream to bring studio quality master recording into the home on hi-res CD. Finally, through the MQA encoding process, we can now listen to the original analog masters as they sounded in the studio without compromise.”
The box set also includes Waiting For The Sun on 180-gram vinyl LP, as well as a second MQA-CD of 14 previously unreleased tracks, including five live songs from a 1968 Copenhagen show.
