Luxman has now joined the MQA family with its first MQA-enabled product, the D-03X CD/digital media player. The player “embodies the timeless principles of Luxman’s precision chassis and circuit design” and is reviewed in glowing terms by Forbes with the header “If Rolls-Royce Made CD Players….

Astell&Kern recently released its SR25 portable player, from the A&norma range, with full MQA decoding capability and support for all MQA-enabled services via its Open App service. What Hi-Fi? describes it as the “successor to the award-winning SR15” and lists all the improvements that have been introduced to the all-new music player.

Esoteric has updated its range of latest products to support MQA playback: these include MQA-CD players, such as the Grandioso K1X, K-01XD and K-03XD; as well as DACs including the Grandioso D1X and N-01XD.

Other existing partners who have upgraded products with MQA capability include Pro-Ject – across its range of DACs – and Topping, which has created a new MQA-enabled version of its existing D90 DAC.
