MQA Collaborates with AIM & Pitchblack Playback for National Album Day 2018
EXPERIENCE SIX MASTER QUALITY ALBUMS IN DARKNESS DURING ALL DAY EVENT
MQA in collaboration with Pitchblack Playback and The Association of Independent Music (AIM), has announced an all-day, fully immersive listening event to celebrate National Album Day 2018.
National Album Day 2018 will be marked on Saturday 13 October with the entire British music community coming together to celebrate the UK’s love of the album. There will also be a week-long series of events and activities across the country leading up to National Album Day, involving a range of amazing events and talent from artists, songwriters, labels, retailers and sleeve designers.
Pitchblack Playback, as the name suggests, allows audiences to listen to albums in the dark through high-quality audio systems to experience the most visceral, powerful sound experience possible. Six albums, released on independent labels, will be played back in MQA to deliver 100% of the original studio performance and deliver the highest quality audio experience.
Taking place on Saturday 13 October between 11.30am and 6pm in The Sensorium at Aures London, each album will form part of a unique listening experience for music fans. SOPHIE – OIL OF EVERY PEARL’S UN-INSIDES (Transgressive Records)
