Parent company Pixel Magic Systems was founded in 2003, a privately-held electronics equipment manufacturer specialising in high-definition home theatre products. Subsidiary company LUMIN Music was set up in 2012, focusing on the audio market with the launch of a technically advanced streamer, the LUMIN A1, which has since been joined by a full range of players. LUMIN Music's network music players can automatically perform core decoding, as well as hardware rendering, of MQA-encoded streams to deliver the best possible playback with the maximum available music data.
